Drinking Water for Good Health

Drinking plenty of water is vital for good health. Your body is estimated to be about 60 or 70 percent water. Your body needs water to regulate body temperature and provide the means for nutrients to travel to all parts of your body.

How much water should I drink?

A good baseline amount of water to drink per day is about eight 8-ounce glasses of water (64 ounces total). If you exercise, you should drink an extra 8-ounce glass for every 20 minutes you are active.
